Yesterday joe and I celebrated four years of marriage the best way we possibly could.
The past few years we’ve always taken a trip San Francisco, New York, Orlando , napa… But this year has been so insanely busy we decided it was time for a little slow down.
We took a few days off from work and headed to the penthouse and yesterday we just relaxed…kinda
We took a bike ride to downtown and had a nice breakfast by the lake. We were going to go kayaking but the wind was insane and the waves were huge and I didn’t want to die. So we ended up taking our dogs for a walk to the beach and sat out for a while. We dropped by my mother in laws camp site and hung out there in the sun for a bit then headed back.
We grabbed lunch at this awesome fish place on the side of the road halfway between Pentwater and ludington on bass lake. You can pick out your fish and vegetables and they toss it into the deep fryer for you. There are no tables inside so you eat on one of the tables outside. We swung by a random winery in Pentwater that turned out to be pretty good! We were the only ones there so we got the full experience.
When we got back from lunch i worked on some furniture pieces cleaned and scrubbed them down. Joe emptied the garage of useless stranger danger material. Although we did find some bikes and a beach umbrella. Score!
We relaxed and read for a bit then met up with my in laws, joes parents ( they said I need to refer to them more here other than joes parents) and we went and had a wonderful dinner at James port in ludington. Of course we had to hit up the Home Depot on our way back to buy electrical supplies for today’s project .
All in all a wonderful relaxing anniversary!0
