Ok so we are off to a somewhat normal morning i guess you could say. all of our animals are walking and seemingly back to optimal health. i have to say yesterday was a scary day. I didn’t like it one bit. and i also didn’t really care for being forced to get over my deadly fear of needles. but some times you have to suck it up and to what you have to do right? i must say joe the dream killer who never wanted a farm to great care of the critters yesterday. he also was the shot administrator and i held her down. he did such a good job…kind of proud of my city boy farmer. i think i’ll keep him.
thanks for all your kind words yesterday!
so anyway. this weekend i got a little decluttering done in the entryway. meaning i finally got rid of the chalkboard i still had decorated from my sister in laws baby shower last may. hey it’s only a year right? i should have just kept it up for when she has her second haha.
i got rid of the chalkboard cleaned things up a bit and re arranged some recent finds. the perks of being a store owner is you get first dibs on the new goods. my friend holli from hollyhocks and hydrangeas brought in this amazing church pew and i knew without a doubt it must be mine. it was the exact right length to fit under the windows of the entryway.
i also picked up this jute runner from world market with my friends and family coupon. it was marked down to $40 and an extra 30% off!?!? how can you resist that? plus that dark floor shows everything from the outside brought in so the room needed a little rug. jute tends (in my opinion) to hide dirt real well. and i should know..i am the queen of hiding dirt rather than being a responsible adult and just cleaning it up.
and lets not forget this amazing michigan pillow! i found this embroidered michigan sampler in a pile of tablecloths i bought at a flea market. the amazing sue from fabric scout (also in the found cottage) whipped it into a pillow for me complete with a vintage farm scene barkcloth fabric on the back. amaaaazing!
now the real question… i want to paint this room. i am not an all white fan but i’m thinking this room might need it.. it comes off of the dining room which is black and gray. i am a color girl but…. i just don’t know thoughts?
also please do not pay attention to all of the clutter outside of the bench. i am a real person and this is a real entryway and i’m a real hoarder.
