just poured my third cup of coffee this morning and haven’t had breakfast so i’m all jacked up on caffeine and ready to go for the weekend.
i can’t believe it’s hear. MONTHS of planning. MONTHs friends the painted farmgirl event is tomorrow. i think i can honestly say i have never poured more of my heart, soul, physical and mental energy into something (other than my marriage) ever before. my bones are buzzing with excitement. i have been privileged to be a part of such an amazing and dynamic team putting this together.
liz, jana, lisa, karen, faith you are an outstanding team and i have learned so much from you ladies about planning an event, working with strong women, a lot about myself, and so much more. you are all such women of God and honestly, I don’t think any of us would have survived the exhaustive planning if we weren’t. God created a bunch of strong females and led them to plan this market together so hopefully he had planned on keeping them strong as a group. (he did). i can’t say it enough, i am SO excited for you to come and see the hard work.
in addition to an amazing planning team is the INCREDIBLE vendors that are living and working in our community. AMAZING merchandisers, junkers, antiquers, artists.. PLEASE take a peak at the facebook page. It makes my heart leap and my toes tingle with the amount of amazing beautiful things and talent that is going to be in one place this weekend.
i have to give a little plug for this gal coming to the market. i’m SO excited that one of my FAVORITE little entrepreneurs is joining the market. you guys… this little girl is incredible. if you have not yet checked out maggies flowers PLEASE do so now. i had the privilege of meeting her (and seeing her every year) at the zeeland peddlers market . every year she grows flowers in her garden and sells them at the market to raise money so she can buy children in need christmas presents. you guys… she’s 10. i’m sorry but i’m going to get a little feelings on you all this morning. it’s such a good life lesson for us adults that a
child young lady can spend her summer break doing something so selfless. she had the smarts to identify a need in her community and the guts and gumption to act on it. what if we all did a little something like that? blows me away. also if you want some of my zinnias that i’ve been posting on my instagram – see maggie!
this weekend is a tipping point for SO many things. come saturday night the market will be packed up (until may), my husband will be home (can’t think about it or i’ll cry) and all will be calm in the world. (here’s hoping).
i can’t wait to see you all this weekend. have a great fall friday friends!0
