greetings from chicago! yesterday afternoon my friend shawn and i drove down to chicago to hang out at the godfrey hotel for wolverines fashion night out!
we desperately needed coffee because we had a long night ahead of us so we popular paid our way over to cafe integral for some amazing smoked fish toasts and ice coffee. it was a great setting and quiet ambiance in the city. the coffee too was fricken awesome. from there we went to west end bakery and split a s’mores croissant/donut hybrid. it was awesome. 
after we got a snack and some coffee in us we met up with my friend shelly (remember her from the 2013 beekman boys book signing) she is my chicago foodie guru and posts the BEST chicago food pics on instagram. we had a BLAST at the wolverine fashion night out event. the godfrey hotel was the perfect setting for a rooftop party. great food, ambiance and drinks not to mention the Ah-MA-Zing fashion walking around at the event. i left feeling so inspired (and with a new pair of boots!) i had such a great time thank you for another amazing event!
after we enjoyed the party we headed out to dinner (at 9:30/10:30 on a school night!). we headed to bar siena per shellys suggestion and lemme tell you it did not disappoint. we had a truffle honey focaccia, grilled eggplant pizza and burrata agnolotti. phenomenal. we were full and tired and called it a night.
today shawn and i are heading back to GR but not before we check out a few more foodie haunts around chicago. we have a nice long list ahead of us!
the rest of the weekend is going to be house projects, a picnic and maybe even a flea market or three. 🙂
