i am pretty much a sale shopper through and through. when i buy something at full price it has to be multifunctional and something that i could see holding up real estate in my closet for a long time. i am a big believer in cost per ware. it’s how i justify most of my shopping. the more i wear something the lower the cost per wear goes. (see how i just justified all that?) when i saw this midi length white jacqueline belted dress from anthropologie hanging up i had to have it. it was like a early 90s pretty woman meets a big comfy sweat shirt. i had to have it. and i paid full price. and i have no regrets.
i am pretty sure i’ve already worn this dress from everything to work, to church and to brunch. it’s so comfortable it’s like wearing a pajamas but it has structure and a bit of shape. there is a nice lining in it to keep it from being see through. i’ve tried a few different types of shoes with it but the pointed toe heels help elongate my leg (i’m short) and give me just a bit of height to make the midi length work for me. my only regret is that it did not come in more colors!
i wore this jacqueline dress to chicago when my friend ashley and i went for a short shopping girls weekend. we browsed nordstrom, bought some make up and looked around for inspiration. it was so cold and we were so ready for spring. this dress felt appropriate for the time of year and made me so anxious to wear it out and about without having to wear a jacket. the snow is finally melting in michigan and i’m so happy about that. i’m ready to get out and garden!
