Overnight many small businesses have had to change their strategies. We have had to close our doors to the public, navigate unemployment and small business aide with tons of loopholes and wait times. But we are doing it! The Found Cottage is moving forward and being creative and adaptive even if it’s not the spring reveal we had hoped to have.
I keep reminding myself that when this is over we will be able to open the doors again. The building is still standing and we will have a recovery time but it will be slow and probably a little painful. We have been trying to focus on catching up on all the things that we were too busy for before this pandemic hit. Like launch The Found Cottage website!
We have been working from our homes taking photos, uploading content and products available online. It’s been a .. journey but once again, we are doing it. We have faith that some day this will be behind us and we’ll be back stronger than ever before.

Plant markers – These have been one of our best sellers for great reason. They look so cute poking out of your houseplants. They are under $20 and would be the perfect addition to a Mothers Day topiary.
Mama baseball hat– Most of us are grabbing coffee, keys, diaper bag and more before running out the door to run errands for the day. I love this vintage weathered material for this hat. It’s comfortable and feels like it’s been your favorite hat for years.
Garden Notebook Set – I love having these.. all over my house. I keep one in my garden shed to keep notes, glovebox, counter etc. They are slim and easy to toss in your purse. Designed by Rifle Paper Co., they are feminine and beautiful and the perfect vessel for holding all your thoughts and to do’s.
Floral Stemless To Go cups – I bought these in white last year and I am so sad that I didn’t wait until the Rifle ones came out! These keep your hot beverages hot and cold beverages cold for 9+ hours. I use mine in the morning for coffee and at night pour my cider in to walk around the garden.
mama t shirt – This T shirt made by another women owned, small business has all the different ways to say “mama” cascading down the front. It’s perfect to toss on with a pair of jeans and head to the farmers market.
Striped Throw – The mornings are still chilly around here in Michigan and these striped throws and the perfect accessory for tossing on your couch and cozying up with your first hot cup of coffee in the morning.
