We sleep surrounded in Red Land Cotton and now we wrap ourselves in the bath towel sheet when we get out of the tub and shower. When I was at the Country Living Fair this past fall I finally got to meet Anna from Red Land Cotton. It was so awesome to meet in person another gal that works at her family business. We got to chat for a bit in the blazing Ohio heat and before I left I loaded up on their bath sheet size towels and loungewear. (had to take advantage of that show special!)
Lately, I have been going to our local YMCA to strength train and I think that the worst part of going to the gym are the teeny tiny towels that you have to use four of to dry off after a workout. That being said, picture the absolute extreme opposite when you think of the bath sheet from Red Land Cotton. They are the perfect size! (34×68) I as well as Joe can wrap them all the way around us with overlap. I know it sounds silly to talk about but you know what I mean, there is nothing worse than towels that are about two inches too small.
When I got home from the show I took them out of their package and made Joe test them out. The next thing I did was take our old towels out of the linen closet and replace them with our fresh crisp new towels. Why is it always a struggle for me to get rid of the things I am replacing? Seriously, I had to remove them from the house. I bought the natural color at the show but decided to also order them in white and I will be bringing a stack to our cottage this summer. They wash up great and make up is easily removed when I wash them in warm water. We have been using them since this fall and they look brand new.
So what makes Red Land Cotton towels so special? The cotton is rain fed in Alabama and manufactured in the U.S.A using sustainable farming practices then, custom gin to ensure the finest fibers are used for the towels, bed linens and other products they produce from their farm. Red Land Cotton produces the only 2 ply bath towel that is made in the United States. A 2 ply bath towel means it is stronger, more absorbent and more durable than your average bath towel. Red Land Cotton uses only the best quality cotton in their towels and you can feel the difference. Wash after wash they are still bright, crisp and soft. I love being able to wrap Otto up like a little baby burrito after his bath time. When it comes time to put jammies on we have to go ONE TWO THREE and quick unroll him has fast as we can and get his jammies on. Every now and then he adds a BLAST OFF! He also loves helping with laundry and makes me call him “Captain Otto” and I carry him around in his rocket ship laundry basket.
We have been enjoying our Red Land Cotton products for almost a year now and the quality speaks for itself. I have washed our sheets and duvet several times and they still look and feel brand new. (Trust me we’ve washed them several times a month because…toddlers) (Who’s idea was it to let a toddler have ice cream in bed?!?) (…Guilty). PS if you join their email list you get alerted to their promotions which is a great time to stock up!
