it must be hard to be the middle room. you’re not the dining room but your not the living room you are this in between room. you can’t have a lot in the center because people need to walk through you to get to the living room. when i saw this glam coffee table i knew it was the right fit for the the room. it’s not too heavy, it’s light and airy and it’s super narrow.
i found the table at my local west elm in grand rapids. it’s official name is the terrace coffee table. i have been really struggling deciding on furniture for this house. i texted a friend yesterday and said it’s starting to look like julia child, don draper and joanna gaines got it on and their furniture children have taken over my house. i have so many different styles that i love i am having a hard time deciding which pieces of each genre fit together. in my mind i keep saying “industrial glam farmhouse” i like the touch of dark and neutral and real earthy tones with the chippy rusty wood and the touches of gold. i just have to keep one from taking over another.
i didn’t style this table yet because i wanted to make sure that was it’s permanent home. i need to adjust the rug and i’d like to build a frame around that mural to finish it off and i still haven’t decided if i’m going to keep that wall color the way it is. what do you think of the table? it’s very glam cocktail lounge isn’t it? does anyone else have this in between room? what did you do with it?
That’s a beautiful table, I love your fun style!
Thank you so much Megan!
That’s the same problem I have! I love glam but also love farmhouse. I can’t wait to see how you make it all work in this room!
Thanks Erika! Stay tuned!
i love the table!! and your description of your furniture children is on point! hah, love it!
hahaha that is the only way I could think of describing it!
Love the mural. And the coffee table. And the couch. And everything else about the room. I’m sure whatever you decide to do will look fantastic!
Thank you so much!
