This outfit, I could have kept going. I could have added a brooch and some jewelry to my pink plaid blazer, bowtie, sequin pant ensemble but there comes a moment in every girls life where she has to draw the line somewhere. Looking back a brooch would have been nice. Maybe my simple bug brooch would have been fun.

I wore this outfit last week when my pals Ashley and Darlene and I wanted to go for a walk outside together and be creative with our cameras. We had an absolute blast. We grabbed coffee and went to rosa park circle to watch the ice skaters and took pictures around the art museum.
It’s weird the things we find to do during a pandemic when we can’t be inside together and have to keep our distance. Props to Grand Rapids and their businesses for finding ways for us to get out and about while supporting them. The air was cold, the coffee was hot and the company was fun.
I had been lusting after this pink plaid blazer when I first saw it on j.crews website. It refused to go on sale. I stalked the website every morning obsessively just to check and FINALLY it went 50% off. It runs a little snugger than the other jackets and I went with a size 10. It’s a slim cut not a boyfriend fit so it has a bit more structure to it. I love that it has so many different colors in the print to pull from.
I bought these sequin wide leg, high waisted pants on sale last year and finally found the perfect thing to wear them with. They are sold out but ASOS currently has a brown version that is still in stock.
The black and white bow top was from the second launch of the atlantic pacific collection for nordstrom. I love a top with dramatic detail that is placed in the middle front of the shirt because it doesn’t get covered up when you put on a jacket or cardigan. This top has been one of my better purchases over the past two years because it seems to go with everything.
I miss getting dressed up and meeting my friends for lunch, having places to go. It was fun to get dressed up just to be creative. Hopefully soon I’ll be wearing this out to Sunday brunch. Until then it will be for walks around town.
