The new fall arrivals are starting to tickle into The Found Cottage and I’m loving all of the new fun sweaters we’ve been getting in. I buy all of the clothing and jewelry for the store and I make it my mission to find good quality and stylish finds at a reasonable price. Almost all the sweaters are under $50 and so cozy. My favorite so far is this cropped chenille sweater for $47. It comes in three colors and fits true to size (I’m wearing a medium). Things are a little but upside down with shipping and orders because of covid so if you see something you like snatch it up because it’s very hard to get reorders of product. A lot of these items were ordered months before the season. There has been an interesting shift though as times are uncertain (who might get shut down when) a lot of wholesalers and makers have switched to more in the moment ordering rather than pre season ordering. It’s a weird time being a shop owner and being grateful to be able to be open as well as having product to sell.
All of these items are being added to the found cottage website (and most are already on there). This Chenille hoodie is a favorite of mine. It’s loose fitting a bit longer with the button neck. It’s very heavy so great for crisp morning apple picking. The jacket pictured below is also a great blush corduroy material. I love the toggles on the side so you can cinch it in and make it more figure flattering.
This season a lot of us will be working from home in the winter months so I tried to focus a lot of my recent ordering on items that are classy, functional and zoom meeting appropriate. I feel like my style is more relaxed in the fall and winter (unless it’s holiday) so my buying habits for the store reflect that. Have you started shopping for fall yet? What are you in the market for this season?
