one thing leads to another don’t you think? i got this mural for my birthday last year and finally got it hung this month for my birthday lol. well the orange in the foxes was too perfect not to buy this vintage orange velvet couch from my friend kelleys store (hunt and gather GR) and then i found the rug and side table at the grand rapids antique market (2014) and the piano stool at a flea market this summer. it all just kind of pulled together.
i don’t like all of the beige around it and my friend dann  suggested a big black reclaimed wood frame and i have to say i’m a loving that idea. i really want the mural to stand out and pop against the wall and i think the black frame is the ticket.
my mom’s friend carolyn hunt the mural and i think she did a fantastic job. what would have taken me 3 days to a year took her about 5 hours and it is absolutely perfect. i love how whimsy and woodsy the house is coming together. i love the rustic farmhouse look but sometimes it gets to be too much. i love mixing in these quirky weird darker industrial elements into the house. what do you think?!
It’s beautiful! I love it, now I want one for my home!
This is gorgeous! Great job.
Such a unique little accent!
This is incredible. And I LOVE your vintage couch 🙂 I have an orange chair that I picked up at a garage sale that’s almost the same color.
Love that backdrop!
Love it! It’s so cute and has the perfect vintage touch 🙂
